look if you unironically say ‘money can’t buy happiness’ then either you’ve never faced a real financial struggle or you’ve achieved enlightenment, because goddamn does financial security feel an awful lot like happiness when it’s something you’re not used to
thisafghan asked: As Salaamu Alaikum my dad is going to get surgery Wednesday (4/16) to have a defibrillator implanted to keep his heart going. His heart is working at 25% when a normal heart works at 60% & anything below 35% working capacity defies death. Please make dua'a his surgery goes well & he has a good recovery (& we avoid post-op infection). Please make dua'a my dad has many more years to live after this surgery. Jazak'Allahu Khairan everyone :)
May Allah swt grant him shifa and a full and quick recovery. iA the surgery will be successful. Ameen.
have you ever met a person that you’re forced to mantain a level of cold civility towards but if you could you would totally punch them as hard as you could but you can’t so every second you’re forced to be around them you’re thinking of smashing their face in just so they’ll shut up
i was sexually assaulted by my boyfriend/best friend about a year ago. i hate it so much. i hate that he’s going on with his life. i hate that he has a pretty and nice girlfriend whom is parents love and i hate that she likes him back. i hate that he’s telling her all the things he told me. all the things that made me special. all the things he loved about me. i hate that everyone sees him as normal. as nice. as kind. i hate that i’m the only one who knows. i hate that his denial is making me go insane. i hate that my life is slowly going on a downhill spiral and his is just getting better. i hate that he won.
A robber stole Umar Ibn Al-Khattab’s turban in the marketplace and ran. Umar ran after him shouting
'I bear witness to Allah that I have given it to you, so say “I accept it” so that the Hellfire does not touch you!'
can i just say that i love this man with all my heart and soul

pain in your
to health by
calls from the few
who love you.
Weeks crawl by,
and you realize
that nothing will
fix the damage
to your soul;
the mirror feels
like a goddamn trap
to show you what
and food feels
like a savior,
or rat poison.
that it’s better
Never ever ever ever ever ever tell a person in recovery that what they’re going through isn’t a big deal or that because you see a good day, they’re 100% fine. Just don’t.
And if you’re in recovery, never ever ever ever listen to someone who tells you your problems aren’t real. You’re worth more than that and you’re fighting a battle harder than anyone can imagine. Keep going.
